The Deepal S05 has officially launched pre-sales, with an official pre-sale price range of RMB 119,900 to RMB 151,900. Positioned as a "Global Fashionable Laser-Powered Intelligent SUV," it is Deepal's first model equipped with LiDAR, featuring LiDAR as standard across all trims and supporting urban navigation-assisted driving capabilities. The new vehicle is available in five configurations: - 520 Smart Drive (RMB 119,900) - 520 Smart Premium (RMB 129,900) - 520 Smart Premium LiDAR (RMB 141,900) - 620 Smart Premium (RMB 139,900) - 620 Smart Premium LiDAR (RMB 151,900) During the pre-sale period, a RMB 1,000 deposit can be applied toward a RMB 2,000 discount on the final purchase price. Exterior-wise, the S05 retains the overall design of the current model but features Y-shaped LED daytime running lights within the headlamp clusters. The lower front bumper light strip and side mirrors integrate “Smart Blue Indicator Lights” to display the status of intelligent driving functions. Additional exterior highlights include semi-flush door handles, frameless doors, a smart power tailgate, and 18-inch Star Swirl sport wheels. A roof-mounted LiDAR unit is newly added, with higher trims featuring Hesai’s 128-line LiDAR sensor. Inside, the cabin adopts a “Floating Starship” design theme, offered in three color schemes: Nebula Purple, Heatwave Orange, and Star Rock Gray. It features 256-color ambient lighting with a floating wraparound effect and premium wood-texture decorative panels. Traditional instrument clusters are eliminated; instead, driving information is projected via a head-up display (HUD). Standard interior features include a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a large floating central touchscreen, wireless smartphone charging, dual front cup holders, and an electronic shift-by-wire stalk. The vehicle offers 37 storage compartments throughout, including a newly added glovebox on the passenger side. The BEV version provides a trunk capacity of 492 liters and a front trunk (frunk) of 159 liters. The intelligent driving system is powered by dual Horizon Robotics J6M chips, working in tandem with the LiDAR to enable urban navigation-assisted driving. Powertrain options include both pure electric (BEV) and extended-range electric (EREV) variants. The BEV version features a rear-mounted single motor delivering a maximum output of 272 hp, paired with either a 56.12 kWh or 68.82 kWh battery pack, offering CLTC-rated ranges of 520 km and 620 km, respectively. The EREV variant combines a 1.5L engine (98 hp) with an electric drive motor (238 hp), supported by a 28.39 kWh battery that delivers 215 km of pure-electric CLTC range and a combined range of up to 1,310 km. The chassis employs a front MacPherson strut and rear five-link independent suspension setup, with a wheelbase of 2,880 mm.
