Tesla announced on July 30, 2026, that its 10 millionth electric vehicle (EV) has rolled off the production line globally. The company built its first Roadster prototype two decades ago, and the cumulative total of 10 million EVs produced to date have been sold worldwide. Previously, Tesla’s 9 millionth vehicle was produced at the Gigafactory Shanghai on December 30, 2025, and it took only seven months to add another one million units. On December 8, 2025, the 4 millionth vehicle manufactured in China by Tesla also rolled off the line at Gigafactory Shanghai, which accounts for nearly half of Tesla’s global EV output. According to its latest financial report, Tesla produced 451,758 vehicles and delivered 480,126 units in the second quarter of 2026.
