On December 28, 2023, Xiaomi held its first automotive technology launch event, unveiling its ambition to develop smart electric vehicles that rival Porsche and Tesla, with a focus on creating an intelligent mobile space that is “stylish, enjoyable to drive, comfortable, and safe.” Within the following two and a half years, Xiaomi launched two models—the SU7 and YU7—achieving cumulative deliveries exceeding 700,000 units. At the latest Xiaomi Pengcheng Technology Launch Event, the company introduced the Kunlun Technical Architecture, a new platform developed over three and a half years, comprising the Kunlun Platform, Kunlun Super Range-Extended System, and Kunlun All-Terrain Safety System. This architecture is designed to support the development of new vehicles that combine SUV styling, driving performance, off-road capability, and the spatial flexibility of an RV.
