At the Xiaomi Pengcheng Tech Launch Event held on July 30, Lei Jun, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi Group, unveiled Xiaomi’s Longjia Battery System. This system is a comprehensive power battery solution led by Xiaomi Auto, covering product definition, battery pack design and development, participation in cell design and development, and end-to-end quality control. Tailored for range-extended electric vehicles, the Longjia battery pack features optimizations in cell materials, battery structure, and manufacturing processes. It has undergone simulated durability testing equivalent to 300,000 kilometers, encompassing real-world usage scenarios such as continuous fast charging and high-speed driving. The battery pack incorporates an 18-layer robust structural protection system. In terms of quality control, Xiaomi has implemented a "Shadow Factory" management approach, enabling Xiaomi experts to deeply oversee every module. Advanced quality inspection technologies are applied throughout the entire production process—from raw materials to finished battery packs—and all manufacturing data is fully archived, ensuring full traceability of quality inspection records for every individual cell.
