Audi is conducting extreme testing of its all-new electric micro hatchback, the A2 E-Tron, at the Nürburgring circuit, with spy photos now leaked. The vehicle is expected to debut officially in autumn 2024 as a 2026 model year car and go on sale in early 2027, with a starting price of approximately €35,000. Despite heavy camouflage, the test mule clearly inherits the rounded design cues of the original A2 produced between 1999 and 2005. The first-generation A2 was renowned for its low drag coefficient of 0.28, and the new electric version is expected to carry forward this aerodynamic philosophy to optimize driving range. Previously, a prototype A2 featuring E-Tron-specific livery with fluorescent green accents—and notably lacking traditional black-and-white camouflage—was spotted in Copenhagen.
