The Hongqi G9 Opens Pre-orders on August 5 with Integrated Electric Roof Tent and Multiple Huawei-Developed Technologies

The Hongqi G9 is set to make its official debut at 14:30 on August 5 during the Zunjie Era Flagship MPV and Huawei All-Scenario New Product Launch Event, with pre-orders opening simultaneously. As the first tech-luxury, rugged SUV under the Harmony Intelligent Mobility (HIMA) brand, the G9 features a bold, boxy design, measuring 5,206 mm in length (5,377 mm for certain variants), 2,050 mm in width, and 1,897 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,160 mm. All variants come standard with Huawei’s self-developed electric motor, all-wheel-drive system, and 800V high-voltage extended-range technology, delivering a CLTC combined driving range exceeding 1,300 kilometers. For intelligent driving, every model is equipped with Huawei’s 896-line LiDAR and three solid-state LiDAR units, enabling full-scenario driver assistance capabilities. Inside the cabin, the G9 runs on HIMA’s exclusive in-car operating system based on HarmonyOS, while retaining an abundance of physical buttons for intuitive control. The vehicle offers flexible interior space configurations and features a tailgate kitchen function capable of supporting cooking and hot beverage preparation. Additionally, it integrates a built-in electric rooftop tent that can be deployed instantly via a dedicated physical button.
