SAIC Volkswagen ID.ERA Unveils First All-Electric Model with Xingyun Intelligent Driving Assist and LiDAR

SAIC Volkswagen has announced that the first all-electric model in its ID.ERA series will soon debut, featuring the Xingyun intelligent driving assistance system and a new LiDAR sensor. The vehicle’s front fascia resembles that of the already launched ID.ERA 9X, incorporating a full-width LED light strip and an illuminated Volkswagen logo. The Xingyun intelligent driving assistance system is SAIC Volkswagen’s core advanced driver-assistance technology developed specifically for the ID.ERA series, supporting highway and urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot), end-to-end parking-to-parking navigation across all scenarios, and a physics-based AI world model. This system is already deployed on the ID.ERA 9X and will also be equipped on the upcoming ID.ERA 5S.
