Huawei's HarmonyOS Smart Cockpit Adds Tencent Video Zone, Uniting Major Streaming Platforms

Harmony Intelligence Mobility announced that the Huawei Video app for vehicle infotainment systems now features a dedicated Tencent Video content zone, supporting synchronized updates of movies and TV shows across the entire internet. In addition to Tencent Video, the app also includes content from Youku and Huawei’s own exclusive zones. Huawei Video is Huawei’s comprehensive online video application, pre-installed on Huawei smartphones, tablets, HarmonyOS PCs, smart screens, and Harmony Intelligence Mobility vehicles. It aggregates film, television, and variety show resources from major platforms including Mango TV, Youku, Tencent Video, and iQiyi. Previously, in November 2023, the Huawei Harmony Video app (formerly named “Video”) rolled out version 1.1.10.300, enabling users to link their iQiyi accounts and introducing an iQiyi content zone. This allowed users to stream iQiyi’s exclusive licensed content via the “iQiyi–Huawei Video” mini program within the app. The recent addition of the Tencent Video zone marks another step forward in enhancing the video service capabilities of Harmony Intelligence Mobility’s in-car system, gradually achieving multi-platform content coverage consistent with that on smartphones and tablets.
