On August 3, both Li Auto and Zeekr announced plans to host live vehicle teardown events. Xu Jieyun, Special Assistant to the Chairman of Xiaomi Group and Deputy General Manager of the Strategic Marketing Department, expressed support for this initiative, saying he welcomes companies openly demonstrating their products with genuine materials and transparency. He described this approach as the right direction for user engagement and marketing, and applauded his “forthright industry peers.” Previously, Xiaomi Auto has conducted multiple live teardowns, including of the Xiaomi YU7 and the new-generation SU7. Following its teardown of the new-generation SU7 in April this year, Xiaomi Auto stated that the reassembled vehicle would be used solely for display and internal testing purposes and would not be sold as a commercial product.
