Zeekr and Li Auto recently announced separate live-streamed vehicle teardown events for their new energy vehicles (NEVs), aiming to transparently showcase internal structures and material quality. Li Auto’s event, hosted by Li Xinyang, Product Lead for the new-generation Li L6, covered core components including seats, body structure, safety systems, chassis, and battery packs, emphasizing details and actual materials that cannot be conveyed through specification sheets alone. Meanwhile, Zeekr conducted a real-time, unedited live teardown of the Zeekr 7X, inviting industry experts on-site to verify and explain aspects such as the steel-aluminum body construction, chassis architecture, and cabin safety features. The entire process was broadcast live without pre-recording or editing to ensure authenticity. Xu Jieyun, Deputy General Manager of Strategic Marketing and Special Assistant to Xiaomi Group Chairman Lei Jun, shared the news on social media, expressing support for this approach of demonstrating genuine materials and craftsmanship to users, calling it “the right direction for user communication and marketing.” Previously, Xiaomi Auto has already held multiple full-vehicle live teardowns, covering models such as the Xiaomi YU7 and the all-new SU7. Following the live teardown of the latest-generation SU7, Xiaomi Auto clarified that the dissected vehicle would be reassembled solely for offline display and internal technical testing, and would not be resold as a consumer-ready vehicle.
