Sinopec and BYD signed a framework agreement on industrial and capital cooperation in Beijing in June 2024, pledging collaboration in three key areas: ultra-fast charging network development, integrated ecosystem integration, and upstream-downstream supply chain synergy, to jointly build the "10,000 Stations, One Energy Network" smart energy ecosystem. On August 6, 2024, the former Sinopec gas station located at No. 1209 Huqingping Highway, adjacent to Shanghai Hongqiao Transportation Hub, fully ceased its fuel operations and was upgraded into a BYD Ultra-Fast Charging Flagship Station, which officially commenced operations. Confirmed by Sinopec Shanghai Petroleum Branch, the site also features an Ejoy convenience store—marking the first implemented project under the strategic partnership between Sinopec’s Ejoy Company and BYD in integrating "vehicle ecosystems" with "home lifestyle," as well as the first instance of Ejoy’s convenience store network extending into new energy vehicle charging scenarios.
