GAC Trumpchi’s all-new rugged plug-in hybrid SUV, the Trumpchi Yue 7, made its global debut on August 7, accompanied by the simultaneous launch of an “Early Access Program.” Customers can secure exclusive benefits worth up to RMB 20,000 by paying a refundable deposit of RMB 199 during the limited-time offer. Official pre-sales will commence in early September. The Trumpchi Yue 7 is GAC Trumpchi’s first rugged off-road SUV, featuring a distinctive “boxy” silhouette. Its front fascia adopts a closed-off design with three vertically stacked LED daytime running lights. A roof-mounted LiDAR sensor is integrated at the front, and sensor hardware is embedded in the front fenders to enable advanced driver-assistance functions. The rear features a side-hinged tailgate, vertical taillights, and a spare tire mounted externally. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,999 mm (5,045 mm with optional equipment) in length, 2,004 mm (2,030 mm with options) in width, and 1,933 mm (1,916 mm with options) in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. It offers a standard approach angle of 30° and departure angle of 33°; models equipped with the optional air suspension achieve an enhanced approach angle of 33° and departure angle of 35°, with adjustable ground clearance ranging from 180 mm to 270 mm. Inside, the cabin features the ADiGO 7.0 Galaxy Smart Cockpit system, highlighted by a 1.1-meter-wide panoramic “Stellar Display,” a 170-mm electrically sliding center console rail, and independently adjustable 40:60 split rear seats. The cockpit debuts the Qualcomm QCM8838 chip (built on a 3nm process with computing power of 300K DMIPS). Powering the Yue 7 is GAC’s self-developed “Xingyuan PHEV GMC 3.0 Thunder Edition” system, comprising a 1.5T hybrid engine (maximum output: 125 kW), an electric drive motor, and a P4 rear-mounted electric motor. The combined system delivers a peak output of 400 kW and wheel-end torque of 10,000 N·m. The chassis employs an “integrated embedded ladder frame” structure, achieving a torsional rigidity of 38,000 N·m/°. All variants come standard with front and rear mechanical dog-clutch differentials and a central energy lock. Three battery options are available—28.3 kWh, 38.883 kWh, and 45.975 kWh—delivering CLTC-rated all-electric ranges of 116 km, 180 km, and 188 km, respectively. The vehicle also features an AI Terrain Master system supporting 9+X intelligent terrain driving modes.
