EVE Energy to Levy 2% Consumption Tax Surcharge on Select Domestic Battery Products Starting September 1

From:Internet Info Agency 2026-08-10 21:10:07

EVE Energy will impose an additional 2% consumption tax cost on certain battery products sold domestically, effective September 1, 2024, based on the original pre-tax supply prices. This price adjustment applies to primary lithium batteries and lithium-ion rechargeable batteries, affecting downstream customers across the company’s three business segments: consumer batteries, power batteries, and energy storage batteries. The company stated that current orders exceed existing production capacity and expects the price adjustment to have minimal impact on customers. According to relevant policies, battery manufacturers are required to collect and remit the consumption tax upon product dispatch and invoicing.
