On August 11, NVIDIA announced it has signed memoranda of understanding with six financial institutions—Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs, and KKR—to jointly establish an AI computing infrastructure financing platform capable of mobilizing up to $500 billion in capital. The platform aims to transform AI infrastructure within NVIDIA’s ecosystem into an investable asset class for global capital, providing NVIDIA customers with dedicated funding pools and attractive financing rates. Jensen Huang, NVIDIA’s founder and CEO, stated that the company is driving the creation of a new type of efficient, investable infrastructure—the “AI factory.” This financing platform will help customers secure scarce computing resources at scale to build DSX AI factories. Within this financial ecosystem, NVIDIA acts as a marketplace connecting capital supply and demand, with primary investors being independent, long-term institutional capital providers. In certain projects, NVIDIA may provide support of up to 25% of the project’s residual value.
