WEY has recently released official images of the WEY V8X Sport Edition and announced that reservations for this model opened on July 29, with market launch scheduled for August 14 alongside the standard version (Luxury Family Edition). The new Sport Edition features an exclusive "Daybreak Gray" exterior paint and is equipped with a Glossy Black sporty styling package, including a glossy black front lip, side skirts, rear sport components, and glossy black window trim. It rides on 21-inch "Ink Jade Edge" alloy wheels paired with red brake calipers. The vehicle measures 5,040 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,968 mm. Inside, the cabin retains the design of the standard version but adopts a black-and-red two-tone theme. The seats are upholstered in premium synthetic suede with diamond-quilted stitching, accented by red contrast stitching and red seat belts. Under the hood, the V8X Sport Edition is powered by Great Wall’s Super Hi4 hybrid system, combining a 2.0T engine with a dedicated four-speed hybrid transmission. The system delivers a maximum output of 500 kW and peak torque of 930 N·m. It achieves a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 4.5 seconds when fully charged and 4.7 seconds in low-battery conditions. Additionally, the chassis has been enhanced with anti-roll bars thickened by 8%, optimized damper valve tuning, and recalibrated hardware-software damping characteristics for improved handling and stability.
