Google's Gemini 3.7 Flash Model Spotted on GitHub, Not Yet Officially Launched

Recently, information about the Gemini 3.7 Flash model appeared on the GitHub page for Google's Python GenAI SDK. According to records, Google internal staff attempted to sync code containing the name "gemini-3.7-flash" to the public repository using the Copybara tool, but the attempt was rejected and closed due to an incorrect model name. Currently, the latest version listed in Google's official API changelog and model catalog remains the Gemini 3.6 Flash, released on July 21. Given the Flash series' typical iteration cycle of approximately every two months, Gemini 3.7 Flash may be in early preparation or internal testing phases, with its official release date pending announcement by Google.
