Leapmotor A05 EV Launches at ¥63,900–90,900

On the evening of August 11, Leapmotor launched its all-electric A05 compact car, offering five trim levels priced between RMB 63,900 and RMB 90,900. The specific trims and prices are as follows: - 405 Comfort Edition: RMB 63,900 - 405 Enjoy Edition: RMB 67,900 - 510 Enjoy Edition: RMB 75,900 - 510 LiDAR Edition: RMB 85,900 - 510S: RMB 90,900 The vehicle measures 4,200 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,560 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,605 mm. According to MIIT data, the A05 is available with two battery options—39.8 kWh and 53 kWh—delivering CLTC-rated ranges of 405 km and 510 km, respectively. Select trims are equipped with LiDAR and powered by Qualcomm’s SA8650 chip, enabling 43 driver-assistance features, including point-to-point parking assistance. All variants come standard with the Qualcomm SA8295 chip, an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 14.6-inch central infotainment display. The system supports karaoke without a microphone and features a 12-speaker audio setup. The A05 features semi-retractable door handles and offers LiDAR as an optional upgrade. Its taillights incorporate a “smiley face” design. The seats support multiple configurations, including Surfboard Mode, Nap Recline Mode, Double Bed Mode, Pet & Moving Mode, and Privacy Storage Mode. The cabin includes 33 storage compartments, a trunk with a base capacity of 474 liters (expandable to 1,308 liters with rear seats folded), and a 91-liter underfloor storage compartment.
