On August 11, interior spy photos of the new Harmony Intelligent Mobility (HIMA) Zhijie R7 coupe SUV were revealed. The images indicate significant changes to the cabin design, featuring a likely new dual-screen setup combining the central infotainment display and a passenger-side entertainment screen. Additional highlights include a large-diameter steering wheel, a compact digital instrument cluster, and redesigned air vents. Previously, in July, the 409th batch of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (MIIT) “Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products” listed the updated all-electric Zhijie R7. According to the filing details, three all-electric variants of the Zhijie R7 are included—all five-seater multi-purpose passenger vehicles produced by Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. The vehicle measures 4,982 mm in length, 1,981 mm in width, and 1,634/1,650 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm, a top speed of 200 km/h, and a rated occupancy of five passengers. Tire options include 255/50R20 and 255/45R21, with certain trims offering optional combinations of 255/45R21 and 275/45R21. Curb weight ranges from 2,220 kg to 2,340 kg. All three variants are powered by drive motors manufactured by Huawei Digital Power Technologies Co., Ltd. Two single-motor versions deliver a peak output of 227 kW, while the dual-motor variant features a front motor with 150 kW and a rear motor with 227 kW. For battery configurations, two models use ternary lithium-ion battery packs supplied by Jiangsu Era New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., and one model uses a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack provided by China Aviation Lithium Battery Technology Co., Ltd. (CALB). The new model offers numerous optional features, including window trim strips, door sill trims and moldings, LiDAR sensors, front logo, streaming rearview mirror, wheel rims, brake components, wheel center caps, fender flares, fender garnishes, rear badges, rear bumper designs, rear tailgate radar, rear lighting units, lower rear bumper trim pieces, and front bumper styles. It also comes standard with an Event Data Recorder (EDR) system and offers an optional ETC onboard unit. The filing images further reveal a perforated emblem, a newly added side-facing camera on the B-pillar, and a horizontal dual-screen-like component visible beneath the left side of the windshield.
