NIO Transfers Wuhan Battery Swap Station Assets to State Ownership; First 36 Charging and Swap Stations Delivered

On August 12, NIO Power and Guanggu Transportation Group held a delivery ceremony in Wuhan for their first batch of jointly built battery swap and charging stations. A total of 36 stations—the first phase of their collaboration—were officially handed over. Under this partnership model, the assets of these stations are owned by Guanggu Transportation Group, a state-owned enterprise, while NIO Power is responsible for their operation and management. Following this handover, all of NIO’s existing battery swap station assets within Wuhan are now held by state-owned partners. As of August 12, NIO has built a nationwide network of 9,198 charging and battery swap stations, including 4,017 battery swap stations and 5,181 charging stations equipped with 29,875 charging piles. The company has delivered over 120 million battery swaps and more than 200 million combined charging and swapping services to date. NIO Power has partnered with over 40 local state-owned platforms and financial institutions across 25 provinces, municipalities, and regions, jointly building and operating more than 800 battery swap stations. Both parties plan to expand this cooperation model to additional locations across Hubei Province and other regions nationwide.
