Xiaomi Auto Unveils Dual-Emblem Lift Mechanism Patent, Enabling One-Touch Switch Between Two Logos

Xiaomi Auto has recently disclosed a patent for a vehicle emblem lifting mechanism featuring a dual-emblem alternating lift-and-retract system that allows switching between emblems based on user needs. The design enables a vehicle to mount two emblems simultaneously—one possibly made of premium materials like gold- or titanium-plated finishes, and the other of standard material. According to the patent, the lifting mechanism features a lightweight structure and can be installed in multiple body locations, including the hood, front and rear bumpers, and tailgate, supporting quick assembly and disassembly. Its mechanical structure comprises four core components: a mounting bracket with a rotating shaft, a dual-emblem assembly, a J-shaped irregular guide rail, and an electric drive module. The electric drive module uses either a motor or a flip pneumatic cylinder to rotate a lead screw, causing a sliding block to move along the guide rail, thereby enabling alternating lifting and retracting of the two emblems. Patent illustrations show that when the rotating shaft aligns with a notch, the emblem can be quickly detached; after rotating to a specific angle, a curved surface automatically locks into place without requiring bolts. The shaft also includes a positioning collar to prevent axial movement of the bracket. It remains unconfirmed whether this patented technology will enter mass production.
