SAIC-GM-Wuling issued a "Solemn Statement" on August 13, 2026, responding to recent social media claims alleging that the Hua Jing S suffers from design flaws, specifically citing "serious design issues with its front double-wishbone suspension." The statement emphasized that the Hua Jing S chassis design strictly complies with national standards and industry regulations and has passed all mandatory regulatory tests, confirming there is no so-called "design defect." It further clarified that the subframe and control arm bushing mounting points referenced in viral online videos are all positioned higher than the minimum ground clearance required by national standards for rigid vehicle components. The vehicle’s chassis kinematic performance, dynamic behavior, and overall handling stability have all been validated through real-world testing and fully meet design specifications and regulatory requirements. SAIC-GM-Wuling stated that for individual owners experiencing component damage during use, the company will provide inspection and repair services in accordance with its warranty and after-sales policies. The company also noted it has identified individuals systematically disseminating false information within Hua Jing S owner groups to defame the product’s reputation. Relevant evidence has already been preserved, and a formal report has been filed with public security authorities. SAIC-GM-Wuling pledged to pursue legal action against any individuals or organizations deliberately fabricating and spreading misinformation that damages the company's commercial reputation. Public data shows that the Hua Jing S delivered 7,203 units in July 2026 (5,689 units in June). Positioned as a large six-seater SUV, it starts at RMB 149,800 and comes standard across all trims with Huawei Qiankun intelligent driving and HarmonyOS cockpit, supporting highway and urban navigation assistance as well as full-scenario parking capabilities.
