Zhang Xue's 500RR Motorcycle Receives EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval

Zhang Xue Motorcycles recently received the EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA) certificate from Luxembourg’s Ministry of Mobility and Public Works for its 500RR motorcycle. This marks Zhang Xue Motorcycles’ first-ever EU WVTA certification, confirming that the model meets all EU market access requirements and is eligible for compliant entry into EU member states and other countries and regions recognizing WVTA certification. The 500RR is Zhang Xue Motorcycles’ debut model, unveiled at the Chongqing Motorcycle Expo in September 2024 and began customer deliveries in March 2025. It features an inline-four, liquid-cooled engine producing a maximum output of 84.3 PS (62 kW at 13,500 rpm) and peak torque of 46 N·m at 11,500 rpm. The motorcycle has a top speed of 235 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds. Its dimensions are 2,005 mm (length) × 705 mm (width) × 1,125 mm (height), with a seat height of 795 mm, wheelbase of 1,395 mm, kerb weight of 170 kg, and fuel tank capacity of 15 liters. The 500RR is available in multiple variants—including Youth Edition, Dual Swingarm Edition, and Single Swingarm Edition—with prices ranging from RMB 29,980 to RMB 33,680. Customers can choose from three color options: black, white, and red.
