Wuling Motors has recently submitted its all-new plug-in hybrid MPV, the Xingguang M, to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) catalog and simultaneously released official images. Positioned as a mid-to-large-size MPV, the Xingguang M measures 5,150 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,820 mm (or 1,800 mm) in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm and tire size of 225/55R18. In terms of design, the Xingguang M adopts Wuling’s family-style design language. Its front headlights resemble those of the Xingguang L, while the large front grille features an active air intake system. The side profile showcases straight character lines running the full length of the vehicle, complemented by conventional door handles and closed-style alloy wheels. At the rear, it sports a full-width taillight and a hidden rear wiper. Powering the Xingguang M is a plug-in hybrid system combining a 1.5T engine and an electric motor. The engine delivers a maximum output of 105 kW and is paired with a 37.9 kWh battery pack, offering a pure-electric driving range of 170 km. Given that the midsize SUV Xingguang L is priced between RMB 112,800 and RMB 135,800, the Xingguang M is expected to be priced around RMB 150,000, with the entry-level variant potentially starting at approximately RMB 130,000.
