On August 12, during a live-streamed media tour of a Chengdu factory, a Geely-owned Lynk & Co executive inadvertently leaked the new Lynk & Co 02's prominent rear spoiler design by failing to verify the production line schedule in advance. As a result, the executive was fined RMB 50,000, issued a severe written warning, and received a major disciplinary demerit. According to filings with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Lynk & Co 02 measures 4,495 mm in length, 1,845 mm in width, and 1,573 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,755 mm. The vehicle features a single-motor layout delivering a maximum output of 245 kW, is equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, and has a top speed of 201 km/h. The model is scheduled to officially launch in the third quarter of this year. Notably, neither the official teaser images nor the MIIT registration photos previously revealed the large rear spoiler; this live stream marked the first public exposure of the design.
