Great Wall Wey V8X Launches from ¥226,800 with Limited-Time Offers

Great Wall Motor’s Wey V8X officially launched on August 14, positioned as a flagship large five-seater SUV. The model is offered in two series—Sport and Luxury Family—with five trim levels in total. Its standard retail price ranges from RMB 239,800 to RMB 315,800, while the limited-time promotional pricing spans from RMB 226,800 to RMB 302,800. The vehicle measures 5,125 mm in length, 2,025 mm in width, and 1,821 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,050 mm. Exterior color options include Deep Courtyard Green, Wenyuan Black, Jade Dew White, Danchen Purple, and Yingbi Gray. The V8X features nine pieces of acoustic laminated glass, triple-layer sealed doors with a 360-degree sealing structure, and 104 aerodynamic active airflow management elements. The Wey V8X is equipped with the native AI-powered “Dual VLA” cockpit-driving intelligent system, enabling voice-controlled operations for acceleration, lane changes, speed adjustments, U-turns, and parking. It also offers end-to-end NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) navigation across all driving scenarios and campus roaming driver-assistance capabilities. Under the hood, the V8X employs the Super Hi4 hybrid powertrain, combining a 2.0T engine with a dedicated four-speed hybrid transmission. The system delivers a maximum output of 500 kW and peak torque of 930 N·m. It achieves a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 4.5 seconds when fully charged and 4.7 seconds in low-battery conditions. The vehicle supports 800V+6C ultra-fast charging technology, adding 170 km of CLTC-rated range with just five minutes of charging. It houses a 66.6 kWh battery pack, offering a WLTC pure-electric range of 312 km, a CLTC pure-electric range of 402 km, and a combined CLTC range of up to 1,659 km. For chassis performance, the V8X features Great Wall’s self-developed Super Intelligent Chassis, supporting rear-wheel steering with ±20° of movement and one-touch virtual wheelbase adjustment ranging from 2.2 m to 3.05 m. It also integrates a fully in-house developed closed-loop dual-chamber air suspension system with a 100 mm ride-height adjustment range.
