On August 15, Suno announced the launch of Studio 2.0. This new version adds MIDI support, enabling users to utilize Suno’s proprietary synthesizer—which features three envelopes and four LFOs—and use MIDI data as AI prompts for audio generation, melody continuation, or creating a B-section based on already performed parts. Studio 2.0 introduces automation controls, allowing adjustments to panning and volume across tracks. A chatbot has been integrated directly into the Studio interface, capable of reading the current project and generating lyrics, creating guitar parts, or automatically applying effects like reverb, compression, and EQ based on user instructions. The update also includes a new suite of built-in effects supporting distortion, delay, reverb, compression, and EQ. Users can now create custom effect plugins via AI within the chat interface, with generated effects saved to their account for future use.
