Recently, spy photos revealing the interior of the new BYD Seagull test vehicle have surfaced. The updated model features revisions to its interior, exterior design, dimensions, and powertrain. Inside, the cabin adopts a tilted central island layout, equipped with a larger floating-style center touchscreen. The standalone digital instrument cluster has been removed, and a wireless charging pad is now integrated into the front console. Below the center stack lies a through-type storage compartment, while the steering wheel features an all-new two-spoke design. Exterior updates include more sculpted front-end lines, slim multi-faceted headlights, and a redesigned front bumper. The side profile incorporates hidden B- and C-pillars along with semi-flush door handles, and the window line rises toward the rear. The vehicle measures 4,205 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width, and 1,570 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm—marking a 425 mm increase in overall length compared to the current model. It retains a five-seat configuration. Under the hood, it’s powered by a TZ164XYB permanent magnet synchronous motor delivering a peak output of 95 kW—40 kW more than the current version—and a top speed of 150 km/h. It rides on 205/60R16 tires and has a curb weight of 1,180 kg.
