Lantu's Shao Mingfeng Responds to Design Similarities Between Zhi Guang S and Xiaomi YU7: Zhi Guang S Was Already in Development by End of 2022

At a media briefing on August 16, Shao Mingfeng, Chief Brand Officer of VOYAH Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. and General Manager of its Sales Company, addressed questions regarding the perceived similarity in exterior design between the VOYAH Zhui Guang S and Xiaomi’s YU7. He stated that the Zhui Guang S project was initiated in late 2022 and that its design closely mirrors the VOYAH i-Cozy concept car. Citing the phrase, “Great designs always share an unspoken understanding,” he explained the phenomenon of convergent design trends. The VOYAH Zhui Guang S officially launched on August 15, featuring Huawei’s Qiankun Intelligent Driving system with four LiDAR sensors as standard across all trims. Priced from RMB 229,900, the vehicle comes with limited-time complimentary upgrades including dual zero-gravity seats for driver and front passenger, electric sunshades, and a mobile multi-functional ambient lighting system. The VOYAH i-Cozy concept car was first unveiled in April 2023 as VOYAH’s third concept vehicle.
