CATL Unveils 2035 Carbon Neutrality Plan for Entire Value Chain

At the 2026 CATL Core Operations Carbon Neutrality Launch Event, Huang Bin, Head of CATL's Procurement Center and Director of Planning & Material Control, stated that over 80% of carbon emissions across the entire lifecycle of lithium-ion batteries originate from various stages of the supply chain. CATL announced its goal to achieve carbon neutrality across the full value chain—from mineral resources to finished battery products—by 2035, emphasizing that this target hinges on close collaboration throughout the supply chain. The company has already developed a concrete action plan covering the entire process, including carbon footprint accounting and targeted emission reduction measures.
