LG and NVIDIA have recently announced a strategic partnership focused on three key areas: bipedal humanoid robots, AI factories, and autonomous driving. The companies plan to launch a bipedal humanoid robot based on NVIDIA’s platform in the first quarter of 2027 and will jointly develop AI industry standards for these fields. Collaboration is already underway, including the development of a bipedal humanoid robot powered by NVIDIA’s platform and the integration of in-vehicle infotainment and automotive software technologies onto NVIDIA’s DRIVE Hyperion platform to create a high-performance computing (HPC) platform for AI-defined vehicles, thereby expanding LG’s automotive electronics business into autonomous driving. Additionally, the partnership aims to advance the intelligence of automotive manufacturing facilities by leveraging AI to enhance production efficiency and product quality consistency, with humanoid robots deployed to perform complex, precision tasks, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
