Geely Auto Raises Full-Year Export Target to 920,000 Units and Announces Management Restructuring

On August 17, Yang Xueliang, Senior Vice President of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, announced that Geely Auto has raised its full-year 2026 export target from 640,000 units to 920,000 units, aiming to challenge the one-million-unit milestone in overseas sales. On the same day, Geely Automobile Holdings Limited announced a management reshuffle: effective August 18, 2026, Li Shufu will step down as Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the company, assuming the title of Lifetime Honorary Chairman, while continuing to serve as Chairman of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group. According to previously released data, Geely Auto’s total sales in July 2026 reached 250,161 units, of which 160,165 were new energy vehicles (NEVs), accounting for 64% of total sales. NEV exports totaled 62,604 units in July, surging 616% year-on-year and representing 59% of total export volume. Overall overseas exports in July reached a record-high 107,000 units for a single month.
