Meta Launches Beta of Meta AI App for Mac

On August 20, Meta launched a beta version of its Meta AI app for Mac users. Primarily targeting businesses and content creators, the app integrates with Facebook and Instagram and includes built-in analytics tools to answer user questions about account performance. It also supports integration with Google Workspace to access relevant documents—though using this Google Workspace feature requires a Professional account on Facebook or Instagram. The app offers screen capture sharing, enabling users to receive AI suggestions while working on specific content, and features a dictation tool that works across all Mac applications. Meta has also introduced new Meta AI capabilities for business users across its platforms, including automating repetitive tasks, sending reminders, and generating presentations, documents, and spreadsheets. Meta AI is available at no cost, with an optional Meta One subscription plan offering higher usage limits. According to Meta’s privacy policy, interactions with Meta AI features will be used to train its models.
