Haval H9 Lihun Edition SUV Debuts at 2026 Chengdu Auto Show

The 2026 Chengdu Auto Show opened on August 21, where Great Wall Motor unveiled the Harrier H9 Li Hun Edition SUV, available in eye-catching colors such as Shimmer Yellow. The paint was co-developed with PPG through 60 rounds of formula iterations, over 100 grinding trials, and 45 rounds of fine-tuning. It features micron-level pigment calibration and a seven-step OEM painting process, utilizing Grade 8 lightfast pigments and passing 3,000 hours of environmental testing. The manufacturer claims the finish offers ten-year outdoor fade resistance and self-healing capabilities for minor scratches. The Haval H9 measures 5,070 mm in length, 1,960 mm (or 1,976 mm) in width, and 1,950 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. It boasts a minimum ground clearance of 226 mm, approach angle of 32 degrees, departure angle of 26 degrees, ramp-over angle of 24 degrees, and a wading depth of 800 mm when not under load. Powertrain options include a 2.0L turbocharged gasoline engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, or a 2.4L turbo-diesel engine mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. All variants come standard with a 2.5-ton towing capacity. Underneath, the vehicle features a front double-wishbone independent suspension and a rear multi-link solid axle non-independent suspension. Every model is equipped with a TOD intelligent four-wheel-drive system, Mlock mechanical locking differentials, front and rear differential locks, and newly added Rock Mode and Expert Mode driving settings.
