The Great Wall Haval H9 Lihun Edition will officially launch on August 24, having made its debut at the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show. The new model offers two powertrain options: a 2.0T gasoline engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission (8AT), and a 2.4T diesel engine mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission (9AT). It comes standard with a 2.5-ton towing capacity. The chassis features a front double-wishbone independent suspension and a rear multi-link solid axle non-independent suspension. All variants are equipped with a TOD intelligent four-wheel-drive system featuring Mlock mechanical locking functionality, front and rear differential locks, and dedicated Rock and Expert driving modes. The paintwork is co-developed with PPG, refined through 60 formulation iterations and over 100 grinding trials. Utilizing micron-level colorants and undergoing 45 rounds of color calibration, the exclusive hue was finalized after rigorous testing. The factory-applied paint process involves seven coating stages, employs grade-8 lightfast pigments, and has passed 3,000 hours of environmental simulation testing. The manufacturer claims the finish offers ten-year outdoor fade resistance and self-healing capabilities for minor scratches.
