On August 23, Zhang Zhuo, General Manager of BYD Ocean Network, stated in an exclusive interview that the Ocean Network MPV is expected to launch by the end of this year, describing the model as unique in the market. Back in April, at the 2026 Beijing International Auto Show, BYD Ocean Network unveiled the Ocean-V concept car, positioned as “an off-road-capable MPV, a camping-ready home, a mobile home theater, and a big toy for kids.” The concept features a fully button-free cabin, supports one-touch activation of “Ocean Cinema Mode,” offers a retractable steering wheel, and includes a flip-down dashboard screen. In outdoor camping mode, the seats can be arranged facing each other in two rows, and when fully reclined, they form a large bed. It remains unclear whether the MPV scheduled for year-end launch is related to the Ocean-V concept. According to publicly available information, the 2026 Dynasty Network Xia MPV went on sale in November 2023. It offers two pure-electric CLTC range options: 100 km and 218 km. Its NEDC-rated fuel consumption under low-battery conditions is 4.9 L/100 km. The vehicle is powered by a plug-in hybrid system combining a 1.5T engine and a front-mounted electric motor. The 1.5T engine delivers a maximum output of 115 kW and peak torque of 225 N·m, while the electric motor produces a maximum output of 200 kW and peak torque of 315 N·m.
