Harmony Intelligent Mobility announced that the Aito M6 Max model equipped with the co-path in-cabin LiDAR will kick off a live-streamed urban driving assistance challenge on August 26 at 14:00 (Beijing time). Powered by Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5 Enhanced Edition intelligent driving system, the vehicle will undergo real-world testing in complex urban scenarios in Chengdu, including intricate intersections, urban interchanges, and narrow mixed-traffic roads. During the event, the company will introduce the co-path in-cabin LiDAR and explain its “single lens, dual-mode” principle. The LiDAR-vision Limera sensor integrates LiDAR and camera technologies at the physical level. Measuring 110 mm in length, 110 mm in width, and 38 mm in height, it features an all-solid-state design with no moving mechanical parts. It can be mounted behind the windshield within the wiper coverage area, enabling lifetime maintenance-free operation without requiring cleaning. At speeds up to 100 km/h, it can detect irregular obstacles—such as overturned vehicles ahead—and safely bring the car to a stop. This sensor will be adopted across models from brands including Aito, Avatr, and Deepal.
