On August 25, the 2026 Silk Road Odyssey: "Path of Inspiration" concluded in Singapore, with BYD serving as the official mobility partner for the entire journey. The convoy departed from the Tang West Market in Xi’an on July 24, covering over 10,000 kilometers across six Chinese provinces and traversing Thailand and Malaysia before arriving in Singapore after 33 days. Themed “Technology Forward, Civilization Inward,” the domestic leg of the journey passed through Bozhou, Jingdezhen, Hangzhou, and Wuyishan, collecting four iconic symbols of Silk Road civilization—incense and medicinal herbs, porcelain, silk, and tea—which were showcased together overseas for the first time during the closing ceremony. The fleet featured BYD’s five major product series: Dynasty, Ocean, Denza, Fangchengbao, and Yangwang, successfully navigating diverse driving scenarios including highways, mountainous terrain, and urban congestion. During the event, BYD’s Flash Charge technology demonstrated its capability to deliver a “5-minute top-up and 9-minute full charge,” supported by nearly 10,000 Flash Charge stations nationwide to address long-distance charging needs. Meanwhile, the company’s “God’s Eye” advanced driver-assistance system continues to evolve based on real-world driving data exceeding 220 million kilometers per day. As of July 2026, BYD has ranked as Singapore’s top-selling passenger vehicle brand for 19 consecutive months. From January to July 2026, BYD captured a 24.7% share of Singapore’s passenger vehicle market and a 40.3% share of the all-electric segment. The company currently operates 16 retail touchpoints in Singapore, with several located in prime shopping malls. From January to July 2026, BYD’s cumulative overseas sales exceeded 970,000 units, an increase of approximately 76% year-on-year. In July alone, overseas sales reached 179,800 units, surging 124.3% compared to the same period last year. BYD’s new energy vehicles are now available in more than 120 countries and regions worldwide.
