On August 26, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and NVIDIA announced an expanded strategic partnership. The two companies plan to deploy an additional 2 million NVIDIA GPU servers across AWS’s global infrastructure between 2027 and 2028. The collaboration also includes the launch of infrastructure services based on NVIDIA’s Vera CPU, featuring custom NVIDIA High Bandwidth Memory (NVHBM) and NVLink Fusion technology. Additionally, the partners will build an AI factory for the U.S. government, equipped with 100,000 GPUs on AWS’s secure infrastructure to support federal and national security-related workloads.
