BMW Brilliance Automotive recently released the second installment of its Q&A series addressing netizens' questions about the all-new BMW iX3, revealing that deliveries of the model will officially commence in November. Development and testing of the all-new BMW iX3 began in 2021, spanning five years, during which a total of 400 domestically produced test vehicles were deployed globally for continuous evaluation. Three years prior to mass production, the first prototypes and subsequent test vehicles had already entered their "graduation tests," accumulating over 2 million kilometers in comprehensive on-road testing. The vehicle also underwent extended-cycle testing across “two winters and two summers,” including extreme cold-weather trials in Heihe, Heilongjiang Province, and extreme high-temperature testing near the Flaming Mountains in Turpan, Xinjiang. The all-new BMW iX3 features semi-recessed door handles compliant with both BMW’s global safety standards and China’s latest national regulations, and incorporates a "triple safety redundancy design." In terms of range, the BMW iX3 50L variant achieved an officially certified range of 919 kilometers under China’s national CLTC test cycle. During BMW’s internal extreme-condition testing, the model exceeded 1,000 kilometers in real-world range. Moreover, in real-road testing around Qinghai Lake—facing significant altitude changes, large temperature variations, and complex road conditions—the vehicle delivered a real-world range surpassing 800 kilometers.
