On August 29, China's Changan Automobile Group announced a donation of RMB 5 million to the disaster-stricken Gyirong Port area in Gyirong County, Shigatse City, Tibet Autonomous Region, to support emergency rescue and post-disaster reconstruction efforts. The donation is made on behalf of its affiliated brands—Avatr, Deepal, Changan Qiyuan, Changan Automobile, and Changan Kaicheng. The disaster was triggered by a mudslide on the Nepalese side, resulting in significant casualties and missing persons at Gyirong Port.
