On the afternoon of August 28, Changzhou City held a special job fair for students who had recently left Xingyu Shares, focusing on the city’s key industries and specifically targeting companies in the new energy vehicle sector and core automotive components. Positions offered at the event started at a monthly salary of RMB 5,000, with the highest annual package reaching RMB 240,000. A total of 56 companies participated, offering 199 positions and seeking 1,368 candidates. Previously, Xingyu Shares had hired 440 fresh graduates during its autumn recruitment drive in July 2026. However, 107 of these new hires were terminated approximately one month after starting work in early August. On August 25, the Changzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau reported that the company had used overly simplistic and rigid methods during negotiations and lacked effective communication. As a result, the company’s HR director was placed on administrative leave. The bureau also confirmed that Xingyu Shares had not improperly received government subsidies related to employment or talent programs. As of August 25, 22 of the 107 affected students had already secured new jobs, and 14 had attended interviews with other companies. By August 28, the number of re-employed individuals had risen to 38, with an additional 19 actively participating in interviews elsewhere. On August 27, Xingyu Shares issued a public apology letter, pledging to provide the 107 former employees with three months of job-seeking living allowances, free accommodation, and organized participation in dedicated job fairs. The company further committed to offering six months’ worth of salary compensation to any individual still unemployed by the end of November.
