According to data from Singapore’s Land Transport Authority, BYD has been the top-selling passenger car brand in Singapore for 19 consecutive months from January 2025 to July 2026. Between January and July 2026, BYD registered a total of 7,928 vehicles in Singapore, capturing a market share of 24.7%, with its all-electric models accounting for 40.3% of the pure electric vehicle segment. During the same period, Toyota, Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW recorded sales of 3,968, 3,260, 2,040, and 1,797 units respectively in Singapore. Chery, MG (Morris Garages), and GAC Group also ranked among the top ten best-selling automotive brands in the Singapore market during this timeframe. The BYD ATTO 3 100kW variant is priced at approximately SGD 184,000 in Singapore (including the Certificate of Entitlement), equivalent to roughly RMB 950,000—significantly higher than its domestic Chinese price of around RMB 120,000 for the same model. From January to July 2026, BYD’s cumulative overseas sales reached approximately 969,000 units, an increase of about 76% year-on-year. In July alone, its overseas sales hit 179,800 units, surging 124.3% year-on-year and accounting for roughly 43% of the company’s total global sales volume.
