On August 29, Zhang Zhuo, General Manager of BYD Auto’s Ocean Network Sales Division, unveiled interior details of the “tech flagship SUV,” the Sealion 08. The vehicle features 53 thoughtfully designed storage spaces throughout, including a three-tier privacy storage area, driver-side sunglass holder, passenger-side glove compartment, center console storage bin, portable hooks, a dedicated umbrella slot, a 7.3L smart in-car refrigerator, second-row phone slots, and third-row inspired storage compartments. The Sealion 08 opened for blind pre-orders on August 13, positioned as a mid-to-large SUV offered in both all-electric and plug-in hybrid variants. The Sealion 08 EV has a pre-sale price range of RMB 250,000 to 280,000, while the Sealion 08 DM-i is priced between RMB 230,000 and 260,000. The official market launch is scheduled for September 2.
