Baidu Intelligent Cloud Restructures Organization as AI Revenue Exceeds 50% for Two Consecutive Quarters

Baidu Intelligent Cloud recently completed a reorganization of its product and R&D structure. The former Platform Products Business Unit has been renamed the Agent Business Unit. The MaaS (Model-as-a-Service) business, Qianfan brand, and related product portfolio have been transferred to the Infrastructure Business Unit. Meanwhile, the Data Platform Department has been renamed the Data Intelligence Department and moved under the Intelligent Applications Business Unit. Following the restructuring, Hou Zhenyu now leads the Infrastructure Business Unit, Yin Dawei heads the Agent Business Unit, and Ruan Yu oversees the Intelligent Applications Business Unit. All three report directly to Shen Dou, Executive Vice President of Baidu Group and General Manager of Baidu Intelligent Cloud Group. The Infrastructure Business Unit will focus on AIInfra and AgentInfra; the Agent Business Unit will concentrate on agent products, including Baidu Dazi, Miaoda, and Famo; and the Intelligent Applications Business Unit will manage Baidu Yijian, Hogee, Shengsuan, and industry-specific applications in sectors such as transportation and finance. According to Baidu’s Q2 2026 earnings report released this month, the company recorded total revenue of RMB 31.3 billion for the quarter, with AI-related revenue accounting for 50%—marking the second consecutive quarter in which AI revenue exceeded half of total revenue. Notably, GPU Cloud revenue within AI Cloud Infrastructure surged 283% year-over-year, achieving triple-digit growth for the fourth straight quarter. Baidu stated it will continue increasing investment in AI to accelerate its transformation into an AI-first company. Additionally, Baidu has initiated the integration of its internal office agent “Dodo” with the Baidu Dazi team to unify internal and external office agent products and consolidate resources to enter the AI-powered workplace solutions market.
