Novosense Reports H1 2026 Revenue of RMB 2.54 Billion, Up 66.73% YoY, Swings to Profit

Nexchip Microelectronics released its interim report for the first half of 2026 in August 2026. During the reporting period, the company generated revenue of RMB 2.54 billion, an increase of 66.73% year-over-year (YoY). Net profit attributable to shareholders amounted to RMB 680 million, compared to a net loss of RMB 780 million in the same period last year. Non-GAAP net profit attributable to shareholders stood at a loss of RMB 480 million, narrowing significantly from the RMB 1.06 billion loss recorded in the prior-year period. By quarter, Q1 revenue reached RMB 1.141 billion with an attributable net loss of RMB 360 million, while Q2 revenue totaled RMB 1.399 billion, delivering an attributable net profit of RMB 1.03 billion and non-GAAP attributable net profit of RMB 70 million. By product category, sensor products contributed RMB 643 million in revenue, up 55.63% YoY; signal chain products generated RMB 1.011 billion, rising 72.64% YoY; and power management products reported revenue of RMB 879 million, growing 69.28% YoY. By end-market application, revenue from the broad energy sector accounted for 57.96% of total revenue, surging 84% YoY; automotive electronics represented 32.38%, up 59% YoY; and consumer electronics made up 9.65%, increasing 20% YoY. Notably, automotive shipments reached 534 million units in the first half of the year, bringing cumulative automotive shipments to 19.52 billion units. In terms of R&D investment, the company incurred R&D expenses of RMB 446 million in the first half, up 23.54% YoY, representing 17.57% of total revenue. Regarding new product progress: - Eddy-current absolute encoder chips and low-power pressure sensors have entered mass production; - Next-generation digital isolators are now shipping in high volumes; - The company’s first automotive audio interface bus chip and real-time control MCU based on the Arm Cortex-M7 core have been launched; - Development of automotive SerDes interface chips is progressing smoothly; - SiC isolated gate drivers have begun shipments to multiple key markets; - Second-generation functional safety-compliant gate drivers, multi-channel pre-driver chips, and Class-D audio amplifiers have secured customer design wins; - System Basis Chips (SBCs) and Power Management ICs (PMICs) have completed validation and been successfully introduced to leading domestic and international customers.
