On August 31, Harmony Intelligent Mobility's Shangjie Auto announced that the Shangjie Z7 and Z7T have successfully passed chassis safety performance validation tests under wet and slippery conditions, certified by China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd. (CAERI). The tests consisted of two scenarios: First, in a simulated high-speed wet condition mimicking rainy or foggy weather, the vehicle traveled at 121 km/h with driver assistance activated. When the lead vehicle suddenly disappeared and an obstacle appeared ahead, the car successfully executed an emergency evasive maneuver, leveraging Huawei’s Tuling platform and the ADS multi-sensor fusion perception system through cross-domain coordination. Second, in a simulated high-speed cornering scenario on a wet surface, the vehicle experienced a sudden tire blowout while traveling above 90 km/h, immediately followed by an elk avoidance test (moose test). Thanks to the blowout stability control function of Huawei’s Tuling platform, the vehicle maintained stable trajectory and prevented loss of control after the blowout, successfully completing the obstacle-avoidance maneuver. Shangjie is a joint brand launched by SAIC Motor and Huawei on April 16, 2025, operating under Huawei’s Smart Selection Vehicle model and representing the “Fifth Boundary” within the Harmony Intelligent Mobility ecosystem alliance. The brand has already introduced three models: the Z7, Z7T, and H5. The Z7 series was officially launched on April 22, 2026, and as of July 2026, cumulative deliveries have exceeded 20,000 units.
