Xpeng MONA L03 Orders Continue to Outpace Deliveries as August Production Efficiency Nearly Doubles

On August 30, a vice president of XPeng Motors stated that daily orders for the XPeng MONA L03 continue to significantly outpace deliveries, though production capacity has markedly improved in recent days. Earlier in early August, Jiang Wen, head of MONA development at XPeng, noted that the model was in a limited ramp-up phase in July. In August, strong global AI demand caused supply fluctuations in advanced-process chips, which impacted production to some extent. However, these supply chain issues have since gradually eased. The factory has now switched to double-shift operations to maximize output, nearly doubling production efficiency in August. Full-scale production at maximum capacity is expected in both September and October. Jiang Wen also mentioned that the L03, as the first globally available model in the MONA series, is being supplied to both domestic and overseas markets and will be offered in both all-electric and super extended-range variants, with hundreds of SKUs. While production progress varies slightly across different configurations, the differences are minor. The company is committed to ensuring vehicle allocation and delivery within the promised delivery window. The XPeng MONA L03 officially launched on July 16, with a starting price of RMB 123,800. Its dimensions are 4,650/4,672 mm (length) × 1,920 mm (width) × 1,600 mm (height), with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. The all-electric version offers CLTC-rated ranges of 525 km and 625 km, while the super extended-range variant delivers a CLTC pure-electric range of 315 km and a combined range of either 1,330 km or 1,380 km.
