Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën Automobile (commonly known as Shenlong Automobile) reported an 8.6% year-over-year increase in its business scale from January to August 2024. Recently, Shenlong Automotive Technology (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. held its official inauguration ceremony in Wuhan. With a registered capital of approximately RMB 8.2 billion, the company’s operations span vehicle R&D, industrial investment, and sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs). Its initial product plan includes four all-new NEV models, scheduled for phased market launch starting in 2027, covering both battery electric and plug-in hybrid technology pathways. In September, Dongfeng Citroën launched attractive purchase incentives: the C5 X offers either a 10% down payment with 3 years of 0% interest or a low down payment with low-interest financing over 5 years. Buyers also receive a lifetime powertrain warranty and a 5-year or 150,000-kilometer comprehensive vehicle warranty. For the C5 Aircross, customers trading in their old vehicles can receive an additional RMB 40,000 trade-in bonus, along with financing options of either 5 years at 0% interest or a 10% down payment with low interest—also accompanied by the same lifetime powertrain warranty and 5-year/150,000-km vehicle warranty. Dongfeng Peugeot’s September promotions include the following: the 4008 and 5008 offer either a 10% down payment with low interest or 5 years of 0% interest; the 408 provides either a 10% down payment with 3 years of 0% interest or 0% down payment with low interest; and the 508L offers either a 10% down payment with low interest or 3 years of 0% interest. Customers trading in for a 508L, 5008, or 4008 are eligible for an RMB 50,000 trade-in subsidy. Both brands also provide additional benefits covering warranties, maintenance, and after-sales services.
