On September 1, Huawei’s Qiankun Intelligent Automotive Solution released a Q&A titled “Qiankun Answers Netizens’ Questions,” providing detailed explanations of its Roaming Cruise Assist (RCA) feature. RCA does not require pre-set navigation or a destination and can autonomously recognize traffic lights on regular roads, enabling continuous intersection navigation and assisting with overtaking and lane changes. It is also effective on rural dirt roads and mountain roads where lane markings may be unclear or non-standard. Within campuses such as office buildings, shopping malls, hospitals, and residential communities, RCA supports one-touch “nearest parking” or automatic parking into selected spots along the route. Currently, the feature is temporarily unavailable in extremely complex scenarios such as certain roundabouts and toll plazas. Huawei also introduced Navigation Cruise Assist (NCA) and Lane Cruise Control (LCC). NCA requires a set destination and follows the navigation route, supporting the addition of waypoints like parking spaces or elevator entrances within campuses. LCC, a basic driver-assistance function, keeps the vehicle centered within its lane and supports obstacle-avoidance lane changes and stop-and-go traffic following. All three features are built upon multi-sensor fusion perception technology, integrating data from cameras, LiDAR, and millimeter-wave radar. Processed and analyzed through the WEWA 2.0 architecture, they deliver enhanced environmental awareness and driving safety assistance.
