Nissan is developing a new entry-level all-electric vehicle named "Wave." The car is smaller than the previously planned electric version of the Qashqai, which has since been discontinued. Recently, Wave test mules have been spotted undergoing road testing in Europe, wrapped in camouflage but revealing a front fascia and lighting design similar to that of the Micra. The vehicle is expected to be built on Nissan’s AmpR Small platform, equipped with a 27.5 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack and a single motor producing approximately 60 kW of peak power, delivering an estimated WLTP range of around 263 kilometers. The Wave is slated to debut in the first half of 2027, with a starting price under €20,000 (approximately RMB 156,000), positioning it to compete in the European market against models such as the Leapmotor T03 and BYD Seagull.
